Lunar Observer ("the app") is published by Humoud Salmeen ("we", "us"). The app has no accounts and no advertising, and it performs all of its astronomical calculations on your device. The app sends limited information to outside services: some only when you use a particular feature, and OneSignal, our notification service, whenever you use the app. This policy explains what each service receives, why, and the choices available to you.

OneSignal is included from version 2.1; earlier versions do not send information to OneSignal.
We use OneSignal, Inc. as our service provider to send announcements about notable lunar events, such as eclipses, conjunctions and the Hijri crescent sighting. When you first open the app, OneSignal's software inside the app registers your device with OneSignal, and it keeps that registration up to date while you use the app. This happens whether or not you allow notifications. OneSignal receives:
If you allowed notifications in an earlier version of the app (for example, for Moon reminders), the app does not ask again, and your device's push token is sent to OneSignal the first time you open version 2.1.
We use this information to deliver notifications, to send them in your language, and for analytics: how often and for how long the app is used, and how many people open our notifications. We do not use your country or time zone to choose who receives notifications, and we do not use any of this information for advertising. OneSignal does not receive your location coordinates. If a notification contains a web link, tapping the notification opens the link in your browser.
The app needs a location to calculate moonrise, moonset and the Moon's position. You can allow location access, choose a city from the built-in list, or enter coordinates yourself.
Whenever the app is open, starting at launch, it downloads hourly Moon photographs from NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio (svs.gsfc.nasa.gov). Choosing the 3D Moon display does not stop all of these downloads. Like any web request, they reveal your IP address to NASA. The web address of each photograph contains its date and hour, which can reflect the time zone of your selected location. No identifier or location coordinates are sent. Downloaded photographs are kept in a cache on your device.
The app keeps the following on your device: your settings (such as language, time format and display options), your selected location and saved favorite locations, your notification preferences and the reminders scheduled from them, cached Moon photographs, and OneSignal's device ID and push token. Moon reminders are scheduled on your device and are not sent to any server. All of this is removed when you delete the app.
We share information only with the services listed below, and only as described in this policy. OneSignal processes information on our behalf as our service provider. We confirm that each of these services provides the same or equal protection of your information as this policy describes. They may process information outside your country, including in the European Union, Switzerland and the United States.
The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It does not ask anyone, including children, for a name, contact details or an account. From every user, the app collects the information described in the Notifications section (an ID assigned to the device, device details, IP address and app usage) to deliver notifications and measure app usage. Apple, NASA and Open-Meteo receive the information described above when those features are used.
When our data practices change, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The current version is always available at this address.

يحتاج التطبيق إلى موقع لحساب أوقات شروق القمر وغروبه وموقعه في السماء. ويمكنك السماح بالوصول إلى موقعك، أو اختيار مدينة من القائمة المدمجة، أو إدخال الإحداثيات بنفسك.
طوال فتح التطبيق، بدءًا من تشغيله، يحمّل التطبيق صورًا للقمر لكل ساعة من استوديو التمثيل المرئي العلمي (Scientific Visualization Studio) التابع لوكالة ناسا (svs.gsfc.nasa.gov). ولا يؤدي اختيار عرض القمر ثلاثي الأبعاد إلى إيقاف جميع هذه التنزيلات. وكأي طلب عبر الإنترنت، تكشف هذه الطلبات عنوان IP الخاص بك لناسا. ويتضمن رابط كل صورة تاريخها وساعتها، وقد يدل ذلك على المنطقة الزمنية للموقع المختار. ولا يُرسل أي معرّف أو إحداثيات للموقع. وتُحفظ الصور المحمّلة في ذاكرة مؤقتة على جهازك.
يحتفظ التطبيق على جهازك بما يلي: إعداداتك (مثل اللغة وتنسيق الوقت وخيارات العرض)، والموقع المختار والمواقع المفضلة المحفوظة، وتفضيلات الإشعارات والتذكيرات المجدولة بناءً عليها، وصور القمر المحفوظة مؤقتًا، ومعرّف الجهاز لدى OneSignal والرمز المميز للإشعارات (push token). وتُجدول تذكيرات القمر على جهازك ولا تُرسل إلى أي خادم. وتُحذف جميع هذه المعلومات عند حذف التطبيق.
لا نشارك المعلومات إلا مع الخدمات المذكورة أدناه، وبالقدر الموضح في هذه السياسة فقط. وتعالج OneSignal هذه المعلومات نيابةً عنا بصفتها مزوّد خدمة لنا. ونؤكد أن كل خدمة من هذه الخدمات توفر لمعلوماتك حماية مماثلة أو مساوية لما تصفه هذه السياسة. وقد تُعالَج المعلومات خارج بلدك، بما في ذلك الاتحاد الأوروبي وسويسرا والولايات المتحدة.
التطبيق مصنّف لعمر 4+ ومناسب لجميع الأعمار. ولا يطلب من أي شخص، بمن فيهم الأطفال، اسمًا أو بيانات تواصل أو إنشاء حساب. ويجمع التطبيق من جميع المستخدمين المعلومات الموضحة في قسم الإشعارات (معرّف مخصص للجهاز، وبيانات الجهاز، وعنوان IP، وبيانات الاستخدام) لإيصال الإشعارات ومعرفة مدى استخدام التطبيق. وتتلقى Apple وناسا وOpen-Meteo المعلومات الموضحة أعلاه عند استخدام الميزات المرتبطة بها.
