Lunar Observer ("the app") is designed with privacy as a first principle. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and what happens to it.
Location — When you grant location permission, the app reads your current latitude and longitude from your device. This is used only to compute accurate moonrise, moonset, and lunar position for your coordinates. Your location is never transmitted off your device, never stored on any server, and is not shared with any third party.
If you prefer not to share your location, you can instead select a city from the built-in list or enter coordinates manually in Settings — the app works fully without the GPS permission.
The app stores your chosen settings (preferred language, time format, last selected location) locally using iOS UserDefaults. This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect any information from users of any age.
If this policy changes in the future, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised. The current version will always be available at this URL.
